The Love Game

When it comes to love, do we all need to play the game to get what we want?

According to experts (of the princess), playing rounds of mind games is neccessary in the courtship dance. Give away yourself too early and it will be a recipe for disaster.

But what happens to love at first sight and, that, the truth will set you free?

Did Cinderella drop her glass shoe and ran away on purpose; so as to have the prince seek frantically for her across the whole kingdom?

Did Sleeping Beauty pretended to fall asleep for a 100 years and was playing hard to get as a result?

Did poor little mermaid give herself away too early in the game? She gave away her voice and her tail in the pursuit of happiness but ended up giving away her man and life as well.

On hindsight, maybe, these fairy tales had always been cautionary tales of woman playing the Love Game.

Somehow, strangely, the princess had always found myself drawn to "the little mermaid" the most ever since i was young.

Perhaps, the princess always felt that the most beautiful moments when loving someone is when you allow your heart to take over your head and not the other way round.

Maybe, in the game of Love, there will always be some poor souls (like the princess) who just dont seem to get the idea of it.

Through the Rain

In life, you really need to experience the bad before you are appreciative of what you have been blessed with all along. A timely reminder of the things that we take so granted for.

And sometimes, a little crisis in your life, makes you stronger, wiser and, more importantly, aware of the people who truly cares for you and loves you so much (that you were never aware of).

If alittle something bad is required for the princess to see the real beauty of life, i guess, it is worth it for a little something bad to happen once in a while in my life.

Risking being accused (once again) of being a Diva, the princess sings her favourite Mariah Carey's song...... "Through the rain"

And yes, the princess will always make it through the rain with everyone surrounding me and my little pink umbrella - just like Mariah

None the Wiser

Sometimes the most important decisions are, strangely, made at the most unlikely places.

For the princess, it was rather unceremoniously when sitting on the toilet seat in the middle of the night.

And just like that, an important decision was made in an instance of non-importance.

Goes to show, you dun ever need a right time and a right place and a right reason for anything.

And no matter if the world we live in is predestined or absolutely random, all decisions/actions will ultimately become non-consequential in the greater scheme of things.

Perhaps, in a world where life can just end as quickly as a flush of a toilet bowl, the princess realises that you cant really take yourself too seriously.

And in the different pursuit of what we deemed to be a successful and perfect life, none can ever claim to be wiser (or better) than the other.

Anticipating good fortunes

If the first two weeks of the new year are signs of things to come, the princess feels that she is better off dead than alive.

As if the lack of love life is not bad enough, her "under-the-radar" policy at work had been hit hard in a series of unfortunate events; leading her into the deepest crisis of her career.

Perhaps the year of the tiger is indeed bad for the meek & demure princess (destined to be eaten up this lunar year).

Determined to turn things around, the princess has decided to embark on her private yacht to set sail across to the neighbouring islands for a change of her fortune.

Hopefully, as i sail across the seven seas and return, life will be a bed of roses and anything bad will left behind and never return again.

In the meantime, the princess stays extremely positive at her outlook.

I mean, people often say, rare precious commodities, like copper, oil and the princess, would always bounce back only higher and stronger in value after a severe recession.

The princess' good fortunes awaits

The real magic of Avatar

This weekend, the princess finally got to see the biggest blockbuster of the moment, Avatar - the multi-million film that uses the latest 3D and CGI technology to create a realistic alternative world that had the princess at the edge of my seat.

But no matter how advanced technologies are in today's world, it seems that the real magic of Avatar, is in the way it perpetuates the good old fashion love story...................

1) When it comes to love, sometimes it is worth sacrificing the entire forest for a single tree......

2) And love, can truly transcends the external appearances, let you see into the heart and soul of another and falls in love with it.

As much as the princess is inspired by the movie, she realises that, sometimes real life works in exact opposite of the Hollywood world.

When it comes to love, attraction is sadly only dependent on the beauty of your external empty shell and sometimes, in real life, you can end up losing both the entire forest and the one tree in a single night.

And facing her latest rapid "deforestation" of her love life, the princess can only hopes that my stunning external beauty will be sufficient enough to stop the rot and save at least a worthy tree........

Meet me halfway

The princess channels her inner "Fergilicious Fergie" and sings......

"Can Meet Me Halfway, right at the borderline
Where im gonna wait, for you
Ill be lookin out, night nday
Took my heart to the limit, and this is where i'll stay
I cant go any further then this
I want you so bad its my only wish"

Fergie, usually in heavy make up, but she is at her best in this mtv.... natural, sultry & totally beautiful.

Such an inspiration to the princess.

The princess wonders if there will be anyone who would be meeting her halfway as she heads for the club first time this year.

Lindsay Lohan plans New start

Lindsay Lohan (the princess idol) plans New start - as reported by the news today.....

"Lindsay Lohan is determined to make huge changes in her life by getting rid of the negativity which surrounds her."

And its about time, so says the Princess too.......

Lindsay tweeted: 'To answer everybody's question... My new year's resolution is to stop letting the lucky few that have my heart, try2constantly tear me down. 2010 is about moving forward, not backwards. Leaving the bad (people, habits, and negative energy behind) time to make changes-right!?!? (sic)'

The princess says a prayer for my ultimate idol (the talented and beautiful actress who had unfortunately spiral down ungraciously in 2009) and hopes she returns with a vengeance... proving to herself that nothing is impossible even though you are down and out as long as u believe.......

Cheers,
Princess

Overlooking the canopy of the magical forest

On the balcony of an old but beautifully put together apartment that overlooks the canopy of the magical forest below, the princess, Lady "V" and mysterious man X were enjoying alittle quiet moment to ourselves.

So there we were, listening to the birds, enjoying the breeze and mainly talking much about nothing on a lazy sunday early afternoon.

The princess cant help but to think to herself: "This is exactly the kind of life i have been dreaming of; a quiet wholesome little apartment away from the complicated world outside; shy from the rest and embraced by nature's beauty .."

Anyway, the princess is just so glad for mysterious man X's invitation; a much needed quiet moment with friends as she gets ready and clear her mind for the start of the new year.

Goes to show, no matter how fun and glamorous, the rounds of wine, merry and party-making may be, deep down, the princess will always truly be that girl who is just contented with a simple quiet life.

No need for Caviar, No need for Champagnes. No need for wholesome organic orange juice from oranges plucked from the highest hill tops of Brazil.

Perhaps, in 2010, the princess really need to go back to basics and to her roots; leaving all the madness and dramas to the rest of the world....

And the princess would like to thank Mysterious Man X for showing me the way.

The air is indeed truly fresher up here as we overlooks the lush canopy of the magical forest.

Happy

Someone once told the princess.... "Be fearless..." and No, its not Taylor Swift.

Maybe, in life, we just need to grab on tight to our opportunities and take our chances. In the princess' world, it isnt always about the results but the experience.

Afterall, the best stories in the world are sometimes, strangely, the amazing journeys that do not end with a happy ever after.

And sometimes, the most seemingly perfect and safest ending, isnt as happy and beautiful as they so often appears to be.

Here's Leona Lewis inspiring yet bittersweet song "Happy" - A song all about taking chances and be happy :)

75th post party evaluation

The princess deliberated holding her 75th post party evaluation. Afterall, the prior post-party evaluation was met with cries of protests and created much speculation on the identity of Mr A,B and Mdm C.

Without Queen of New York as guest judge and the now "non-committal" Lady "V" as part of the evaluation committee, things were indeed getting alittle tougher.

Mr No.1

Plastic Princess: " How's he, Lady v? "
Lady "V" : "I have no comments"

The evaluation ended at Mr No. 1.

For some strange bewildering reasons, Lady "V" and Princess P had come to the consensus that perhaps women of royality are supposed to shut their trap as tight as their ass in public events (as like those XXX at the party, Lady "V" commented...... just trying to be)

Perhaps, the most valuable lesson learnt this festive season, as Lady "V" and Plastic P finds out, is that, sometimes, somethings are better left unsaid.

And, in true Lady "V" style: "Silence is truly Golden until your hole has been broken...."

With that, the princess P and lady "V" looks forward to the new year..

New Faces, New Places. FOr the dumbfounded women of royality.

Cheers,
Plastic P

The princess's Christmas wish

Once upon a time, Christmas was a simple delighted affair.

Just a meal with family/friends (without much fanfare and hype) at the unknown local eat-out places.

And then, maybe, a couple of Hallmark's telemovies or old classic hits right through the night at home that had the princess weeping on her couch.

These days, Christmas often comes together with heaps of tantalising food and streams and streams of booze amidst thongs of beautiful people.

While it all seems that we have traded up, the princess cant help but feel that something's missing from it all. I wonder: "What have we given up in the process of trading up for that little bit of glamour, glitz and gaga-ness"

For better or worse, the princess takes all these changes in strides (from my experience as a Runway supermodel).

And hope that my wisdom will allow me to see thru the glamour, feel the love and know the stuff who truly matters in life.

More importantly, to understand that, sometimes, certain things just doesnt change no matter how you want them to......

And despite the distractions and clutter, the princess has not forgotten her ultimate wish every Christmas...... "World Peace"

(AND - Less carbon emission, a wrinkle free skin, smaller waist and an ultra-cool & loving bf and of course, More of my inherent wisdom and beauty).....

Princess checks into Rehab

In true Hollywood fashion, the princess is issuing a public statement announcing her admission to rehabilitation - in a secluded no-man's land (literally), away from the bustle and hustle of the city life.

Perhaps a timely decision, given the fact that, the fabulous princess had been spotted in numerous embarrassing occasions on and off the hottest scenes in town.

As Lady "V", inner circle of the princess, puts it: "Maybe the pressure of being the moment's hottest princess has taken a toll on her... All those demanding multi-facet roles she is taking on in her new project for Christmas....."

"And it is not helping given her penchant to fall for bad cheeky guys who are bad for her....." added mysterious man X.

As the princess packs her Chanel tweed jacket into the LV suitcase, i secretly hope that this 3-day reformative program would be able to transform me back to my purest form and set my thinking straight again.

This is indeed a "make-or-break" rehab in a bid to stop the downward spiralling of a talented princess. To all the people that i've hurt and embarrassed so far, this rehab is for you.

But most importantly, it is for the princess to re-discover who she truly is and a clean slate to start things all over again.

And with that, the princess is off to her no-man's land in her private jet.....

Love,
The Rehab princess

Phoenix from the ash

Life, it seems, has its unique way of telling you certain things...

First, it whispers in ur ear..... Then, at the weirdest of time, it just shouts out right at you. So loud that you just cant ignore it anymore.

And there and then, when it does (regardless where and what state of being you are), it all becomes clear what you need to do.

In an instance, you relent your wilful ways and surrender yourself to life.

Almost like a scene in any classic demonic movie (i.e. OMEN)......

Initially, you struggle and resist the demon within you, creating a tidal wave of chaos outside the world ... then you make peace with yourself and the world.

After everything is said and done, a certain sense of serenity overcomes you as you fall into a long deep silent abyss.

Only to re-appear again, like Phoenix rising from the ash........ this time..... only stronger, wiser and controlled...

You, and life, as one.

Like chasing lights on a Christmas tree

So, the Christmas tree is finally up.

As the princess takes a final glance at the tree, i cant help but wonder: "Is this Christmas gonna be any different from the rest?"

After all, when the season round of heartwarming gatherings, mindless fun and numerous countdowns dies down, we are inevitably back to where we begin..... hard at work, struggling with life's challenges and searching for eventual happiness......

Just like the chasing lights circling the Christmas tree, the princess often feel the same. Going round and round, with no ending and objective in sight.

Just busy. Just moving.

Perhaps, like them, the sole existence of the princess is to look joyful and mesmerising until one day the lights finally goes out, serving out its only purpose in life.

And Truly, Maybe, it really doesnt matter if we had been living life in circles all these while as long as we have brought joy and love in someone elses life (somewhere along the cyclical path) and to our lives as a result.

After all, Christmas is all about the spirit of loving and giving.

And Of course, all about walking/talking in circles in what seems to be a never-ending flow of wine and champagne.

Goodbye, Queen of New York

Good byes are never easy to say. Especially the heartfelt ones.

So no dramas. And no grand speeches.

The princess is just so appreciative that you are back every once in a year to remind me of the times of our innocent fun, silly jokes and the wonderful banter.

And making the princess realise that true friendships never really goes away despite the distance, time and space (and the occasional bitchy judgements and disagreements).

Of course, You are always welcome back to compete with ur fabulous sistas of the East.... But here's wishing you another wonderful blissful life back in New York at least for another year.

May ur dreams come true.

Best Friends Forever,
Princess P & Lady "V"

Mariah Carey singing the Princess' fav Christmas song

Christmas period can be truly depressing when you are alone, lonely and hoping that, in the thinnest of chance, a miracle can appear at the strike of 12 on christmas eve.

But no matter how dark and sad the period could be, the princess always know there's people she can count on always.... (cant say the same to some of my friends.. sigh).

In the spirit of Christmas cheers, the princess would like to introduce everyone to my two brightest hopes that shine on me every christmas... Mariah Carey & Walt Disney..... :)

Mariah Carey singing "All i want for Christmas is you" in Disneyland...

So Mariah, SO me.

Enjoy.

And Happy Holidays.

Cant take away your past

No matter what you do or how far you run away, the past always managed to catch up with you....... sooner or later.

At the latest fabulous party at the upper east side last weekend, amidst the merry making, pumping bodies and serial drinking, some of us were being forced to face up to the demons of our past and take a good hard look at ourselves.

A timely reminder before the flood of festive celebrations come crashing upon us, that choices we made today will inevitably affects us tomorrow.

The always innocent and demure princess takes another small sip from her wine glass and quietly makes a secret promise to herself.......

ANd this will be a secret that i'll never tell.

XOXO...

Princess P.

Concrete JUngles where Dreams are made of ..... A tribute to Queen of New York

The QUeen of New York belts out her anthem "Empire State of Mind" as she touches down in Singapore from New York...

"In New YOrk, Concrete jungles where dreams are made of....
There's nothing you cant do now you're in New York"

And who would have thought, just years ago, the Queen of New York was just like the Princess, waiting for her next big breakout role....

Now, the Queen of New York triumphantly return to her homeland with her head held high and breasts all perky...... and the nose all done and the face extensively peeled.

And so they always say..... In a world where dreams are made, never be afraid to leap into the unknown, trust yourself, live your dreams. and your life will be, as Miley Cyrus sings...."Its a party in USA"

Welcome back, Linda E (Queen of New York)...

My sister's keeper

The princess was a bucket of tears...sobbing uncontrollably, up there in the A380.. as i watched "My sister's keeper".

It just seems that the best tearjerkers in movies are always about death, loss, love and faith.

Perhaps, in the movie, the saddest scenes were never about death and loss. They were always about the inability to let go and move on And always about that selfishness (in the disguise of love) that threatens to tie one down with regrets.

And so, in the middle of asking the air crew for another of that white wine and secretly wiping the tears from my beautiful eyes, the princess makes a point to constantly remind myself that happiness in life is never about holding on to something or someone....

But finding joy and love in every situation no matter good or bad.

My Sydney Boy…… (Inspired by My American Boy)

The aspiring song-writing singing princess, inspired by American Boy and the Sdy trip, has come up with my Sdy theme song.

My Sydney Boy
by Princess P feat. Nicole and Lady V.

Mother Nature (AkA Nicole raps):
Hey hey…. Princess P.
I know you gonna go Sydney
Be like me
And really get to see
The youngest kid
In Sydney…”

Yo… Get down… In Sydney town

Plastic Princess sings:
Take me on a trip
That I’ll like to go some day
Take me to Sydney
I’ll like to see a play…….

I really want to
Come make it with you
You can be my Sydney boy…….

He coming with me this weekend,
Holding on to my hand
Take me to Bondi
And have some coffee
Head down to the beach
And we go skinny

I’m liking this Sydney boy
This Sydney boy

Lady V raps:
Yo… P P
U’ll love the men of Sydney
Show off ur designers
I’m sure they’ll love ya

You can be like me
Slide your hand down their Pee Wee
And right to your Vinny

Plastic Princess sings:
Would you be my love
Would you be mine

Would you be my love
Would you be my Sydney boy…..
My Sydney Boy….

Lalalalalla dee laa……..
