Maybe, in life, we just need to grab on tight to our opportunities and take our chances. In the princess' world, it isnt always about the results but the experience.
Afterall, the best stories in the world are sometimes, strangely, the amazing journeys that do not end with a happy ever after.
And sometimes, the most seemingly perfect and safest ending, isnt as happy and beautiful as they so often appears to be.

75th post party evaluation
The princess deliberated holding her 75th post party evaluation. Afterall, the prior post-party evaluation was met with cries of protests and created much speculation on the identity of Mr A,B and Mdm C.
Without Queen of New York as guest judge and the now "non-committal" Lady "V" as part of the evaluation committee, things were indeed getting alittle tougher.
Mr No.1
Plastic Princess: " How's he, Lady v? "
Lady "V" : "I have no comments"
The evaluation ended at Mr No. 1.
For some strange bewildering reasons, Lady "V" and Princess P had come to the consensus that perhaps women of royality are supposed to shut their trap as tight as their ass in public events (as like those XXX at the party, Lady "V" commented...... just trying to be)
Perhaps, the most valuable lesson learnt this festive season, as Lady "V" and Plastic P finds out, is that, sometimes, somethings are better left unsaid.
And, in true Lady "V" style: "Silence is truly Golden until your hole has been broken...."
With that, the princess P and lady "V" looks forward to the new year..

The princess's Christmas wish
Once upon a time, Christmas was a simple delighted affair.
Just a meal with family/friends (without much fanfare and hype) at the unknown local eat-out places.
And then, maybe, a couple of Hallmark's telemovies or old classic hits right through the night at home that had the princess weeping on her couch.
These days, Christmas often comes together with heaps of tantalising food and streams and streams of booze amidst thongs of beautiful people.
While it all seems that we have traded up, the princess cant help but feel that something's missing from it all. I wonder: "What have we given up in the process of trading up for that little bit of glamour, glitz and gaga-ness"
For better or worse, the princess takes all these changes in strides (from my experience as a Runway supermodel).
And hope that my wisdom will allow me to see thru the glamour, feel the love and know the stuff who truly matters in life.
More importantly, to understand that, sometimes, certain things just doesnt change no matter how you want them to......
And despite the distractions and clutter, the princess has not forgotten her ultimate wish every Christmas...... "World Peace"
(AND - Less carbon emission, a wrinkle free skin, smaller waist and an ultra-cool & loving bf and of course, More of my inherent wisdom and beauty).....

Princess checks into Rehab
In true Hollywood fashion, the princess is issuing a public statement announcing her admission to rehabilitation - in a secluded no-man's land (literally), away from the bustle and hustle of the city life.
Perhaps a timely decision, given the fact that, the fabulous princess had been spotted in numerous embarrassing occasions on and off the hottest scenes in town.
As Lady "V", inner circle of the princess, puts it: "Maybe the pressure of being the moment's hottest princess has taken a toll on her... All those demanding multi-facet roles she is taking on in her new project for Christmas....."
"And it is not helping given her penchant to fall for bad cheeky guys who are bad for her....." added mysterious man X.
As the princess packs her Chanel tweed jacket into the LV suitcase, i secretly hope that this 3-day reformative program would be able to transform me back to my purest form and set my thinking straight again.
This is indeed a "make-or-break" rehab in a bid to stop the downward spiralling of a talented princess. To all the people that i've hurt and embarrassed so far, this rehab is for you.
But most importantly, it is for the princess to re-discover who she truly is and a clean slate to start things all over again.
And with that, the princess is off to her no-man's land in her private jet.....

Life, it seems, has its unique way of telling you certain things...
First, it whispers in ur ear..... Then, at the weirdest of time, it just shouts out right at you. So loud that you just cant ignore it anymore.
And there and then, when it does (regardless where and what state of being you are), it all becomes clear what you need to do.
In an instance, you relent your wilful ways and surrender yourself to life.
Almost like a scene in any classic demonic movie (i.e. OMEN)......
Initially, you struggle and resist the demon within you, creating a tidal wave of chaos outside the world ... then you make peace with yourself and the world.
After everything is said and done, a certain sense of serenity overcomes you as you fall into a long deep silent abyss.
Only to re-appear again, like Phoenix rising from the ash........ this time..... only stronger, wiser and controlled...

Like chasing lights on a Christmas tree
So, the Christmas tree is finally up.
As the princess takes a final glance at the tree, i cant help but wonder: "Is this Christmas gonna be any different from the rest?"
After all, when the season round of heartwarming gatherings, mindless fun and numerous countdowns dies down, we are inevitably back to where we begin..... hard at work, struggling with life's challenges and searching for eventual happiness......
Just like the chasing lights circling the Christmas tree, the princess often feel the same. Going round and round, with no ending and objective in sight.
Just busy. Just moving.
Perhaps, like them, the sole existence of the princess is to look joyful and mesmerising until one day the lights finally goes out, serving out its only purpose in life.
And Truly, Maybe, it really doesnt matter if we had been living life in circles all these while as long as we have brought joy and love in someone elses life (somewhere along the cyclical path) and to our lives as a result.
After all, Christmas is all about the spirit of loving and giving.
And Of course, all about walking/talking in circles in what seems to be a never-ending flow of wine and champagne.

Goodbye, Queen of New York
Good byes are never easy to say. Especially the heartfelt ones.
So no dramas. And no grand speeches.
The princess is just so appreciative that you are back every once in a year to remind me of the times of our innocent fun, silly jokes and the wonderful banter.
And making the princess realise that true friendships never really goes away despite the distance, time and space (and the occasional bitchy judgements and disagreements).
Of course, You are always welcome back to compete with ur fabulous sistas of the East.... But here's wishing you another wonderful blissful life back in New York at least for another year.

Christmas period can be truly depressing when you are alone, lonely and hoping that, in the thinnest of chance, a miracle can appear at the strike of 12 on christmas eve.
But no matter how dark and sad the period could be, the princess always know there's people she can count on always.... (cant say the same to some of my friends.. sigh).

Cant take away your past
No matter what you do or how far you run away, the past always managed to catch up with you....... sooner or later.
At the latest fabulous party at the upper east side last weekend, amidst the merry making, pumping bodies and serial drinking, some of us were being forced to face up to the demons of our past and take a good hard look at ourselves.
A timely reminder before the flood of festive celebrations come crashing upon us, that choices we made today will inevitably affects us tomorrow.
The always innocent and demure princess takes another small sip from her wine glass and quietly makes a secret promise to herself.......
ANd this will be a secret that i'll never tell.

My sister's keeper
The princess was a bucket of tears...sobbing uncontrollably, up there in the A380.. as i watched "My sister's keeper".
It just seems that the best tearjerkers in movies are always about death, loss, love and faith.
Perhaps, in the movie, the saddest scenes were never about death and loss. They were always about the inability to let go and move on And always about that selfishness (in the disguise of love) that threatens to tie one down with regrets.
And so, in the middle of asking the air crew for another of that white wine and secretly wiping the tears from my beautiful eyes, the princess makes a point to constantly remind myself that happiness in life is never about holding on to something or someone....
But finding joy and love in every situation no matter good or bad.

Haven't Met You Yet

Super Cute. Ultra Cool. Sounds like 'Bad Day' but only this is full of sunshine and positivity
There is just this sense of warm fuzzy feeling that brings a lovely smile to the princess' face everytime i hear this song...
And Swoon...... the sudden impulse to hop down to the nearest supermarket immediately just for a chance to meet Mr Right.
ANd in my heart, the princess believe, like what dear sweet Michael Buble sings, some stranger in the supermarket "will come out of nowhere and into my life"......
Yes, the princess knows he is there... but "i havent met you yet".....
But real soon we will, Mr Right....

Can it be Magic?
Hunky Vampires, Evil Emperors and Tranny Geishas……
For one night, the hippest street in town had been transformed into a scene from Eastwick (the hit TV series). There was indeed something magical in the air, the princess felt, as she wonders along the street at Halloween night.

A sense of fake surreal beauty yet emotions so real (perhaps emerging through the safety of our guise) just overwhelms the petite princess.
Maybe, inside every one of us, there is a desire to play make-believe and act out our deepest fantasy.
Perhaps, sometimes, in each of us, there is a part that want to believe that there is something special inside us (be it good or bad); just waiting to be unleashed when the time is right.
Standing there, in full awe, the princess channels my inner magical power to unleash a frantic group of naked hunks clamouring all over me.

Not so Glee
Sometimes, the ever effervescent princess does feel that i actually came from one of the character from Glee; ever ready to burst into a song & believing that the world is full of bubble gum sweetness.
However, there is a certain sense of unbearable lightness when the princess becomes too glee for her own good. It is a strange feeling, at work, when you are feeling good about nothing while people around you are brooding over everything.
The princess wonders to herself: “Am I missing something here?”
There are times when the princess wishes she was more of an Angelina Jolie than Jennifer Aniston. Or Britney Spears than Scarlett Johansson; unless if Scarlett is with her husband Ryan Reynolds; or taking up a role where she plays a sultry vixen flirting with a married man.
But, that is beside the point.
The truth of the matter – people often perceive brooding people having substance (as if there are contemplating hard into life’s worries) while happy people being shallow and taking the world too lightly.
In a world full of reality TV, drama has become an over-rated asset and being happy all the time is the fastest way to become a C-lister in a corporate jungle.
Maybe, like the series Glee, life is always about that delicate balance of being who you are and who you think you might want to be.
And perhaps like Glee, Being a Loser or a Winner could just be a matter of your own perception.

As the princess readies herself to another fabulous saturday night out.... she cant help but to recall the dvd she saw last night: "He's just not that into you"
After all, in a series of tried and tested flops in dates, the princess is beginning to feel that, when it comes to dating, the rules doesnt make an exception even for the princess.
Perhaps, tonight, the princess should really keep a lookout for the obvious "signs" and not hope for a fairy tale against all odds ending.
Because, even royalties need to admit that, in life, the facts do, indeed, stare straight in your face sometimes.
And sometimes, love just needs a little reality check in order for it to work.

When one door closes.....

The princess, being the close confidante of Lady "V" , of course knows very well that the only thing that will be opening when a door closes is her *#&#.
But nevertheless, the princess was very heartened to hear such words of consolation.
Perhaps, in adversity comes strength.
Perhaps, as we spotted Mother Nature (AKA Nicola) seriously dating AGAIN at a popular hangout (the bridge of love), persistence is indeed the key to success to anything/any men/any boys.
Perhaps, lady "V's original plan was still the best.
When too many doors closed on your face, the next best move is not to open another door but to open up your "strengths" - persistence, @#$#, intelligence, beauty or humour.

Deadline for love - The Ex List
The princess watched "the Ex list" yesterday and found myself nodding my head as if connecting with the show's theme and plot. Totally.

Sad as it may sound, but the princess, is as sure as the sun will rise, that my life, in alignment with the land of TV sitcoms, despite the numerous twists and turns, will eventually have a happy ending at the end of the day.
And the similarity? Here goes:

Welcome to the upper east side
The endless flow of champagne, ice-cream and eye candies.
Life is definitely a paradise if you happened to be on the right side of town.
This weekend, the princess finally got a glimpse of the life in the fast lane. So, all those fabulous party, frivolous chat in Gossip Girl wasnt all TV but, ironically, reality.
Right there. In a Box. The princess immerses herself in the lifestyle of Serena and Queen B; rubbing shoulders with the whos-whos in town.
Absolutely fabulous.
Being along side with the Serenas and Blairs of the upper east-side have definitely made the princess see much more clearer now.
If life is ever so transient and impermanent, one should really live in style and glamour.
With that thought in mind, the princess left the gala event all purposeful and determined.

The awakening - A new Earth
After a night of club hopping and man hunting, the princess found herself waking up unusually early the next day morning.
Wide awake, in an instant of consciousness, i found myself drawn to the book 'A new earth' by Eckhart Tolle (Oprah book club hit sensation).
A new Earth - a book about spiritual awakening, being in the moment & not letting the mind (ego) take over your soul.
The princess wonders if this is a sign from the 'power-that-may-be' that she needs to re look at her life and re-prioritise her goals.
Indeed, the princess seemed to have wondered off the track in recent months. All these talks and comparison about wanting a better career, house, men, pet and life had the princess absorbed in so much superficiality and materialism.
Yet, deep inside, the princess knew, none of these was gonna make me any happier than now. AND taking away all these was not going to make me a lesser person as well.
In a moment of realisation, the princess took a big breathe and enjoys the experience of being.
No more wanting. No more longing. No more material slutty girl.
The only riches in life is in the knowing.

SunShine Paradise
The princess slathers on her suntan lotion on a hot summer day (away from work) with the sunglass perched firmly on my head.
The sun was perfect. The water from the pool reflects the sun's rays onto the princess' glowing face.
Lady "V", who was beside the princess, took extra precautions to hide away from the sun beneath the canopy of the blue and white sun brolly.
"These are cancer rays." Lady "V" cautions the princess.
The good-looking men come and go as they finished their baking in the sun while the princess & Lady "V" lay nonchalantly on our decks discussing about retaining our youth, re-igniting our passion and most importantly, our hopes for our future boyfriends.
Just exactly like our counterparts in the real housewives of New York City; life should be like this everyday.

Sexy Men of Step It Up and Dance
Blue and sad on a working morning after a long holidays, the princess refused to believe that the holidays are finally over.
Being a creature of habit, she turns to the very "thing" that will perk her up - sexy hunky beautiful dancing men.
Sometimes, the princess wished she could be as talented and as passionate as them. Other times, i just wished they could just be my boyfriend; lifting me up (physically and figuratively) when i am down.

And who can forget Elizabeth Berkley of ShowGirl Fame. She, with her signature move, hosts this reality dance show.
Unlike its other counterpart, So you think you can dance?, "Step It Up and Dance" is just so bitchy and full of personality and drama mama.
Truly doing what the show preaches, dancing is not only about techniques but also passion and personality.
The princess always have a great time watching Janelle, the youngest contestant, not for her dancing but her often funny remarks.
In an episode where the contestants are supposed to perform an act with Stomp (dance act of dustbin and broom fame), Janelle who had problems mastering her broom act, casually dismissed it and remarked: "I use a vacuum cleaner at home"
The princess just admires the feisty attitude of these youngsters nowadays..... "When life throws you a curve ball, BITCH it!!!"
And so will the princess from now on.

Welcome to the Dollhouse
Finally, a thriller series that interest the princess, US TV Series, Dollhouse.
Maybe, its because of its girly title or perhaps that, the main character, Echo, is aptly referred to as a doll. Quite a smart pun, the princess thinks - someone pretty, whose existence is for a specific purpose, helpless and controlled.
And because her memory gets erased every time she completes her assignment, each episode is like a whole new pilot run. The moment she is uploaded with new "imprints", she becomes a totally different person - Outdoor girl, Sexy negotiator, motorbike chick... etc...

But what really attracts the princess to this series is its underlying theme . Beneath the glamour, fight scenes and fabulous plots lies the basic question of the trade-off of free-will and life's unique imperfections for our desire of a perfect life (think: matrix).
If you have a chance, would you want to sell your soul to the devil for a glamorous, high living life or choose live out the drudgery of everyday mundane life that is seemingly pointless.
That is the question the princess asks herself every Monday morning as she readies herself to work.

Thursday. Morning. The princess wakes up dazed and confused.
In my mind, it keeps ringing the same lyrics by Maddy - Bad Girl.
"Something's missing and i dun know why?"
The princess loves the Madonna of the Past where her songs though commercial were still personal and thought-provoking.
It seems these days, the princess life is a sad reflection of Madonna's new songs....
"Something's missing but i dun know why..."
Perhaps... the princess (and Madonna) had gone too goody-two-shoes these days and needs to get back that bad-ass attitude in order to put our lives rightfully where it belongs.
And like what Madonna sings in the Chorus (and yes, the princess singing along too):
"Bad girl, drunk by 6, kissing someone else's lips".. The princess would like some of that please.

New adventures of an Old Princess
Julia, Julia, Julia.
Julia Louis-Dreyfus of the Seinfield fame (playing Elaine). The character everyone hates to love. She is everyone's (including the princess) anti-princess (Crude, bitchy yet so lovably real at the same time)
The princess had never realised she misses Julia so much until i stumbled upon her new (not so new) hit TV series: New Adventures of Old Christine. In just 3 episodes, the princess is truly back in television sitcom heaven.
Now, playing a divorced mother of one (yes, keeping up with times), She is still basically Elaine; just as funny, witty and scarastic, in her own goofy kinda way. The princess had not heard herself laughed so loudly since a long time.
And that grin of Julia's.... As if it was just yesterday. As if the old Elaine had never left.
Really a pleasant surprise and such an inspiration.
The princess finds herself wondering: "In an everchanging world of short attention span, new surprises and flashing faces, how do we constantly remind ourselves that, perhaps, the new excitement that we so looking for, can come from the people whom had always been by our side?"

Closer than you think
Call the princess conservative and conventional, but i must admit it seems alittle weird seeing a woman leading a team of homicide detectives in solving crimes in Closer, US Crimes Series.
Where is the explosion? hunky men? sizzling chemistry between the leading men and the foxy lady he saved?
What Kyra Sedgwick, leading lady in this crime series, brings to the series is a touch of sensitivity, vunerability and some closer to home issues (which is made believable because of her). Not to mention some brillant twists to the story plot.
A case of Judge Judy-meets-CSI??
A leading lady in a Crime department who is full of steel determination, resolve and yet with a touch of feminine instincts; using her mind and not resorting to her feminine wiles to get what she wants.
Is it really alittle too far-fetched? Or maybe it might just be closer to home than what the princess think.
Perhaps, its time the princess realises what being a real-life strong woman is about.

Someone's gonna hurt - Cougar Again :)
As the princess sips coffee with Mdm Nicole at the latest shopping destination in town, i told Nicole with great admiration and respect:"I finally understand the fears that you are going thru dating younger men"
After chasing the full season 1 of Cougar, especially the last episode, the princess finally realises, reality show or not, dating younger men is a whole lot of responsibility & fear.
Like the Cougar says: "someone's gonna hurt."
How do you date a younger man, in the midst of so many conventional objections? and tell yourself that you are not taking them away from the prime of their life? (AKA Travis).
Like what Travis' mum said to Cougar, Stacey - You have made your life but Travis is just beginning to make his.
And when you let them go, can you truly convinced yourself that you have not misled them (AKA Colt - Stacey (cougar) telling him that she is falling in love with him in one episode only to tell him that she has fallen for another man at the heartwrenching finale).
But, most importantly, like what all Cougars fear, at such late age of their life, how much assurance is there that a younger man can go the distance when it comes to love and stability.
No matter, the princess was totally glad that Stacey had chosen Jimmy - the best looking guy with great bod and charisma and totally a family-oriented boy.
Deep in my heart, the princess wishes Mdm Nicole and her (and maybe Lady V) finds our "Jimmy"

Old Habits Die Hard - The Cougar Princess
Fresh out from a long blogging hiatus, the princess wonders if she can ever write again. Would it be another one of those girly, lovely stuff or could it be a darker and more updated piece this time round in an attempt to connect with the darker, intense male readers out there somewhere.
Surfing the TV for inspiration, the princess found herself bypassing the highly recommended MIO US TV CRIME pack boasting of hit series such as The Mentalist and Criminal Minds (I mean, good stuff but not for now, dearie) and back into familiar territory - The Cougar.
Instantly, the princess was captivated. 20 gorgeous young hunks trying to win the affection of an older, beautiful, hot babe. This is really a case of ART imitating the princess' life. The princess cringed uncontrollably at their best efforts to impress the cougar which came across somewhat awkward and amateurish.
One of the princess' top fav easily -colt :)
The princess is loving the show already.
AND the Cougar really gives the phrase "to turn the other cheek" a new twist. At the end of each episode, the boys will be asked to kiss her. If she gives him her lips, it means "You're In!" in reality TV terms. If she turns her cheek, then "You're out!!"

Promise of a New Day
The princess finally realises, from her close friends, that a lot of compromises go into every relationship in order to make it work and last.
Love experience forces one to learn to forgive, to live together and to understand and adapt the inherent differences between 2 persons.
We become a better person as a result, the princess' friends often remarked.
Cynics would coldly call these "learnings" the compromising of integrity, self-worth and principles.
In a world so imperfect and flawed, i guess you cant expect too much of love. Perhaps, nothing is easy in this world, especially falling and staying in love.
The princess cant help but wonder :"Is this all worth it?"
What happens when the reasons holding 2 people together have now morphed from love commitments to mindless obligations and the fear of loneliness?
"Who am i to judge?" the princess stops short of dishing her well-intended advice.
I guess ,as long as you hold on to something as hard as you can, there will always be that glimmer of hope for the promise of a new day (even if it might have long passed you by).

Malibu Barbie hits the club
After slipping in and out of many outfits, the princess gives up. When it comes to a beach party, the only way to look a million bucks, is a hot sexy body.
For a place where less is really truly more, no amount of Pradas, LVs and Chanels can save the day......
And the princess realises it too late.
Naked and not really sacred, the princess, squeezed in her flimsy hot pants, and a pair of flip-flops, sashayed into the hottest beach club in town, Cafe Del Monte, looking more like a penguin than Malibu Barbie.
In a sea of perfect glistening bodies, it is easy to get self conscious of your own inadequacies. It almost seemed like being normal was a sin.
The princess and Lady "V", always perfectly poised for any clubs, had decidedly conclude that, perhaps a party sold solely on sculpted bodies, was not our cup of royal earl grey tea.
Just when we thought all hopes were lost, a handsome, gorgeous white knight in shiny armour came our way.
After a few drinks and numerous laughter, the night (and princess) truly seemed much more beautiful.
Yet, at that moment, the princess realises, how silly it was if a complete stranger was all she needs to make her feel beautiful and complete.
Perhaps, sometimes, being beautiful could just be a state of mind.

Confessions of a Shopaholic
The princess left the cinema full of hopes and dreams.
Yes, you can snag yourself a dream guy as long as you remain true to yourself. Even when you are down and under a mountain of debts.
You can even beat Ms uber-long-legs model and win over your man with your personality, that kookiness, spontanteous laughter, and purest of heart.
And so, to all those nay-sayers out there, who often feels that they are out of their league at attempt to snag the "perfect man", the princess says to them: 'Dun be ridiculous!'
We can have our cake and eat it as well.
Love is like a lottery ticket, there is really no point in getting the consolation prize.
And more importantly, like a lottery, no one is ever too good or too poor to win.

Princess in love
THe princess squealed in excitment after a fabulous date with Prince Charming one evening.:"Is this the feeling of love? could this be really love?"
Warm fuzzy feeling all within me; the princess can almost feel herself radiating love in the late of the night on her way home.
Sometimes, love just strikes you when you least expects it.
He is just everything the princess had ever dreamed of; Cute, funny and extremely down-to-earth.
He completes me.

Ms Cherry On Top
Ms Cherry, an ambitious and career driven lady in her late thirties (an "old" friend of the princess), seemed to be hell bent on getting on top of every boy she sees lately
The princess cant help but to wonder:"what drives this middle age lady?"
Is it mid-life crisis? Or is it menopause?
Nevertheless, the princess is amazed at how Ms Cherry-on-top manages to juggle her time and energy (lotsa them) between a promising up and coming banker-to-be and an sports loving fashion entrepreneur.....
Sadly, the 2 young lads does not know the existence of each other and Ms Cherry-on-top is having a whale of a time.. (or whats remaining)...
The princess can only hope that Ms Cherry-on-top is not biting off far more than she can chew.....
OR, maybe, perhaps, after years of experience, she has mastered the act of being the cherry on top of two young boys.

The Princess Heart Justin (the Hills)
In a surprisingly quiet and wholesome Saturday night, the princess found herself lazing at the couch watching the marathon screening of MTV – The Hills.
Absolutely addictive.
The princess likens herself to the lead actress, Lauren Conrad….. Single & fabulous, the level headed, kind hearted one with a child-like vulnerability at times. Lotsa of fabulous girlfriends and guy pals....
AND the good thing about the show, lotsa of hunky eye candies.....
The princess finds herself particularly drawn to Justin. The classic non-committal cute bad guy surfer dude who just refuses to conform to relationship norms.
But in the later episode, he finds himself somewhat seriously drawn to his "girlfriend".
Will he finally give in and settle down? Only time will tell.......
At the end of the show at 1 am, The princess was totally like a teenage girl again, wanting to paste posters of Justin all over her bedroom walls.
So, while the princess has grown wiser with age, she realises she will always be an absolute sucker for a guy who is a baddie at heart; always believing her love will be good enough to transform him
Someone please just give the Princess her Justin...

An ordinary princess
The princess did a stock count of what she has achieved over the years.
1) No. of great loves - hmmm, very subjective
2) No. of extraordinary career highlights - hmmm, not really any
3) No. of times she appeared in the night scene section of a lifestyle magazine - hmm, maybe once but strictly speaking, none
4) No. of times she was allowed to cut queue to enter a club - occasionally
5) No. of times appearing on Singapore Tatler - none
6) No. of childhood dreams come true - none
The list goes on. The list of unfulfilled dreams increases through the years and ,sadly, the list of dreams that the princess knows she could never fulfil in her lifetime grows longer too.
The princess has almost given up all hope to be a supermodel of the world, an Oscars Worthy actress, a fashion designer rubbing shoulders with celebrities, a trophy wife to a millionaire and a career woman whose look can kill.
Yet, strangely, the princess does not feel a sense of great sadness at her lack of dramatic achievements in life; as if resigned to fate.
The princess sometimes wonder if she has finally attain Enlightenment in a world of constant craving and upgrading? or ,perhaps, the princess had simply been too plain lazy her whole life; choosing the path of least resistance.
The princess cant help but ask herself: "Is there still any sparks left in her for a life less ordinary?"

Addicted to Love
So, after weeks and months and years of relentless seeking for love, Nicole finally is on the verge of attachment-hood.
The princess has never seen so much devotion and dedication in the art of love-seeking than Nicole. Other than, maybe, Frumpy housewife, whom had been attached for the longest time.
At some point in time, the Princess had also found herself inadvertently drawn into the fray as well (with much enthusiasm and excitement, I must say)
Some people, it seems, hold on to the notion of love like it’s the most sacred thing in life. It is the central piece in their life; without which nothing really makes sense.
But what about "saving the environment, teaching the young, your passion on baking, acting and singing?" the princess, sometimes, finds herself asking these questions for them.
Shouldn’t these rank higher than love?
What is the value of love? The princess asks.
Someone to be there when u need? someone to hold on to? someone to call your own?
If your life is fulfilling enough, is there still a need for love?
The princess cannot help but to ask:

Beach Volley Boys (BVBs)
These days, when it comes to being hip and cool, (as the princess learns from Nicole, Miss Cradle Snatcher) you need to use alot of acronyms such as BFF and Peeps etc etc... and of course, catchphrase like : "thats hot!" and "Totally"
One hot sunny afternoon on the beach, the princess finally found her brilliant term: BVB AKA Beach Volley Boys.
Inspired by the thousands of gorgeous young boys; Half naked, showing off their hours of hard work in the gym. Sweat glistening down their bod and sunglasses perched firmly on the top of their heads.
It should be a sexsational moment for the princess but somehow in the eyes of the experienced princess, it was a turn-off. The boys were simply too conscious about their coolness to enjoy the moment.
So came the term: BVB
BVBs represents boys who are cool and hot, knows that they are cool and hot, behaves as so, and cares too much about it and , sadly as a result, loses that cool factor.
It is almost ironic. and almost like Madonna trying too hard.
So the plastic princess, ever so fashionable and hip, will start using this term whenever possible.

Plastic: "Hey, babe, dun bother to come here... the crowd is so BVB! (i.e. posey, superficially hip)
After watching a movie so critically acclaimed by a female film critic who only rates art films positively and gives popular mainstream film low rating.
Plastic: "The bitch is such a BVB.... the film sucks. She only gave it a 5 star because its indie!"
So now all, go on and use it... release the inner bitch in u.

Encounter with a Hunky Nasi Lemak Man
His strong biceps ripple as he splits the chicken wings into 2 with the scissors. The princess' heart skipped 2 beats.
Tiny perspirations of sweat beaded his forehead.... The only blemishes to his boyish tanned look....
The princess was third in the queue of a locally acclaimed Nasi Lemak Franchise in town. (Once in the while, the princess also needs to have such local delights meant for the ... hmmmm..... simple folks)...

My stomach was hungry yet my hormones were raging at the speed of light (courtesy of lyrics from Christina's Genie in a Bottle)..
DO you think LUST increases our metabolism rate? the princess asked Nicole just right behind her.... The princess desperately hopes the increase in heartbeat would be enough to offset the calories gained from this sinful meal....
My turn.
"One set C please" THe princess said in her most demure voice.
Our eyes met. For that second. Such gorgeous smile on him.... and i also noticed the muscular chest.....
"Maybe he part-time in the dragon boat team also" Nicole whispered.
Apparently, he caught the eyes of our resident mother nature too....
"NIcole, i think he is already 22 and so is too old for you" The princess calmly tells Nicole to keep her motherly hands off.
The Nasi Lemak meal was so delicious & soft and chicken wings cut by a hunk was crispy and mouth watering (i must do some food critic too since it is the "in" thing for blog nowadays!!)...Sadly, the good times last as fast as they come and the Princess & Nicole had to leave... But I was so glad i came....
The princess never knew that a simple meal can bring so much joy into her life... I must do this more......

The Nasi Lemak meal was so delicious & soft and chicken wings cut by a hunk was crispy and mouth watering (i must do some food critic too since it is the "in" thing for blog nowadays!!)...Sadly, the good times last as fast as they come and the Princess & Nicole had to leave... But I was so glad i came....
The princess never knew that a simple meal can bring so much joy into her life... I must do this more......

Princess Enchanted
Today at the office, i imagine myself to be Amy Adams in Enchanted.....As Work keeps piling up, i still maintain a happy smile.....
While i know there will be no rats or dove flying in to complete my work; i was praying, with sincere optimism, that my prince is going to come soon as we ride off to the days of love and no work ......
But seriously, i do feel a sense of uplift and happiness everytime i hear this song and imagine the show.....
Like every disney show, it always bring about valuable lessons in life:
1) Sometimes, the mundane things in life can be done with much passion (its a matter of choice)
2) We all need friends, no matter who or what they are.... (ugly or smelly, friends are still the best)
3) Hard work pays..... Clean the toilets & do your work and Your prince will surely come at the end of the day :)
Now, i got to go back to my work...

Bus Stop Love Affair with a Stalker
The princess thinks she is being stalked at a bus-stop near her house (not that the princess takes a bus or watsoever.... I was just waiting for my friend... Princesses dun take bus like commoner)
Anyway, there is this guy at the bus stop that keeps staring at the princess almost everyday.
At first, i tried to dismiss it because, i mean, it is natural for guys to take an extra look at beautiful girls right (especially one of royal blood).
But after the first week or so, i realise this guy (eurasian, not too bad looking as well, keeps looking my way).
It was then that the princess started to have the shivers (and of course, some nervousness and excitement) Just like a virgin being touched for the first time....
Of course, the first thing that came to the princess' mind was to act cool and conservative. Because, by conventional wisdom, everyone knows any girl who starts a conversation with a stranger at the bus-stop is a loser and a slut.
But whats wrong with this stalker, shouldnt he be the one to make the first move??!!! He should just step up and walk to the princess before he boards the stupid Bus 198 right??!?!! (now, if you read blog, i hope u know who u are, idiot!)
Anyways, The princess is determined to keep a Poker Face on no matter what.... The princess resolves not to be a loser and a slut for some guy who takes the public transport (even though he is very cute and a ABC)!!
SO, good bye my dear, bus-riding cute guy.

Poker Face
When it comes to Love & finding Love, do you keep a poker face?

The princess, always one to wear her heart on her sleeve, realises the greatest trick in the book to nabbing a dream guy could just happens to be the oldest one: Keeping a poker face when it comes to your feelings.....
I guess, even in today's time, a woman's worth is determined by how unattainable she is.... Perhaps, we have not progress any bit since the days of sense and sensibility.
To survive, one must needs to be:
Not too confrontational,
Not too loud,
Not too upfront,
And Like my idol, Lady GAGA, sings

Mother Nature
Legend has it that, long time ago, somewhere in the middle of the beautiful garden lies the fountain of youth. This is the exact essence that had maintain the youth and longetivity of the source of our world, Mother Nature… Apparently, every morning, Mother Nature sips from the fountain of youth thus enhancing her youth and power.
Back to our modern days, of course, we all know now that that is no such thing as the fountain of youth… unless you count SK2 as one of them…..
But if this is the case, then how does modern-day Mother Natures contain their inert urge to be young always?
Like all beings, Mother Natures (one of the most intelligent and innovative kind of this world) had managed to evolve with times, fufilling their desires in a sinister way…..
Apparently,as the beautiful princess shockingly discover one day in an overseas trip, one of her best friend was actually a sinister Mother Nature!!!
Nicole was just like everyone with no signs with her sinister side. Like everyone else, she was just as bitchy, just as slutty and just as crazy.
But when someone young comes her way (i.e. 18years to 21years)*, she becomes a totally different person….. Sweet, caring & nurturing…. She has turned into mother nature (with her poor young prey being oblivious)….come to think about it… its like Hansel & Gretel story right...
*yes, the age range of her prey is very limited so she needs to be very precise and targeted in her hunt for maximum effectiveness… mother natures need to adhere to the legal law of the world too
Anyway, back to the story…..
Nicole, sometimes masequrading as the world's first supermodel to have her own modelling agency, enchants and entraps these silly young preys slowly but surely. These young preys who also needs a strong and caring mother figure to shether them from the dangers of the world turns to Nicole in no time. We can say its mutual consent.
Little did they know, they are entering into a bigger dangerous dark hole (no pun intended ;P) unable to escape.
Nicole, by association of these young men, becomes young always :)
Time and again, Nicole had tried to recruit the princess to become one of them…..
The princess, known for her independence and wisdom, politely decline as she understand deep inside, happiness is not in being young or having young. Happiness is not about finding love in a relentless hunt.
The princess tells Nicole:"Let love find u, u dun find love, Nicole…… Let these innocent young men free……"

Death by Chocolate - Guest Writer, Ms VP
Jamie is a chocolate lover.
She is someone who is so in love with chocolate that she basically lives on a chocolate diet. All sorts of chocolates appeal to her and she has them for all 3 meals of the day.
For the longest time that i know, Jamie and her fellow chocolate lover sista, Jacqueline have always favoured white chocolate over the others. They think that white chocolate taste and look purer and that somehow gives them a sense of superiority when they eats them.
However, recently, jamie's taste has changed. She has begun to take a liking for dark chocolate thinking that it is more beneficial for her.
There have been various reports stating the health benefits of dark chocolates including the fact that chocolate releases endorphin that will lift up your mood. Hence, whenever jamie is alone and depressed, she will turn to dark chocolate in the hope that it will make her happier.
However, not only did the dark chocolate not lift her mood, they caused her to become a postmenopausal bitch and has caused several unwanted side effects like diarrhea and vomiting.
All these while, jamie refused to believe that dark chocolate is bad for her health and continued to search for the best dark chocolate from the 2 famous chocolate factory in town, tanchoc and darkstage. Jamie tried and tried and eventually found a dark chocolate at tanchoc. She was exhilarated when she saw this particular dark choc with the name bombayessence.
Jamie paid a high price for bombayessence and just when she was looking forward with anticipation for all the benefits that bombayessence could give her, she was once again disappointed. Bombayessence not only taste like curry turned sour, it smells like cheese that has turned bad.
jamie was furious after trying bombayessence and she promised herself that she will stay off dark chocolate forever after this experience. I was glad for jamie when i heard that as i know dark chocolate has done her more harm than any others.
However, not long after promising to stay off, jamie's delusional illness caused by her previous encounters with dark chocolate came back to haunt her. She behaves like she is under a spell or a curse and kept singing praises of dark chocolate. Not long after, she is out on an endless hunt for the perfect dark chocolate again...
Will Jamie ever find the dark chocolate that will make her feel like heaven when she tastes it? Or will Jamie turn back to white chocolate, feeling superior all over again? Or will Jamie try milk chocolate for once? Or perhaps Jamie will change her diet habit all together and go back to the down to earth staple food of rice?
Whatever is the case, here’s hoping that Jamie will find something that will satisfy her taste bud like never before.

Sinead O'Connor
The princess can never get tired of listening and watching Sinead. She is talented, naturally beautiful and with such a powerful, soulful voice. But her presence always seemed so awkward in the scheme of things.
Already an anti-establishment at the height of her fame.
Sometimes, the princess wishes she has the strength of Sinead.... always fighting the establishment, keeping her own views despite the vicious backlash often encountered. Sticking true to herself and not selling out.
Being able to refuse all the fame and riches that she could have
The princess resolves to be more like Sinead in the coming year. A strong, beautiful woman who stands strong in the face of adversity; never backing down and selling out.

The Little Nonyas
"The Little Nonyas" was the talk of the town when this TV series was broad casted a few months ago.
Where lies its appeal? the princess asked.
Was it the twist and turns of the show's plot? Was it the bitchy storyline that captivated the audience? Was it the glamorous cast that mesmerised the entire nation? or was it the nostalgic feeling of a beautiful lost culture brought back to life?
Well, the answer is yes and no....
Based on the princess' personal experience... the key to any successful dramas is to: keep it real but making it too good to be true..... Something that the audience can connect with but could never possibly do it.....
Some classic examples
Nigella Lawson
Everyone has cooked before (so they can connect with it). But to whip up a homecooked meal that is so delicious while maintaining the effortless, glamourous look is impossible.
Carrie Bradshaw
Everyone has difficult relationship issues. But to fall in and out of love with so many men and ended up with the first true love is also almost impossible.
Perhaps, the princess should apply this success formula into her own personal love life as well. To be someone who is real but almost unattainable.
And how to do it?
